So I was finalizing a few PSD’s that I was going to upload, but then I figured this is stupid. So I’m going to stop with the web design stuff for now… I’m getting back into programing. SDL FTW!
P.S – I plan on uploading all incomplete PSD’s to the portfolio since I won’t be needing them.

I finished optimizing the site’s theme today.
It only took like 3 weeks of thinking about doing it and about a half hour of doing it.I already have a few things I want to post in downloads but the member download system isn’t ready yet…. it’ll be ready soon.
So yeah… in about 2 weeks I should start posting things.

I’ve been thinking about what I should do lately… I’ve decided to start posting tutorials and PSD’s for just about everything I make (I make about 2-3 full site designs a month). My designs aren’t really spectacular ground breaking things, but a lot of them are pretty cool, it doesn’t really matter the whole point is to try and help people to learn photoshop.
All the templates/PSD’s/Tutorials from now on will be free, the only catch is that you have to register to download them.

Ahhh… Christmas, perhaps its time to update the blog? Wait. I have a blog? Oh yea I do… Shit.
So yea I basically suck at keeping blogs updated. To be fair the idea of blogging is unfair; when you have time to blog you have nothing to blog about, but when you do have something to blog about you don’t have time. Ironic huh? I’ve also been obsessing over whether I should use the “read-more” link, I really don’t like how it looks but I’m not really sure if I want my page to be that long (and if I do remove the read-more links how many posts do I display per page? see its a whole big thing…).
In more interesting news I’ve been working on about 5-6 designs simultaneously those will hopefully completed and uploaded soon
I’ve stopped working on the 7-11 map (started working on a mod instead). So I’ve been trying to think of a way to keep my abandoned projects organized on here, I really want to stop deleting everything I do, it makes your accomplishments look all the more better.
As for programming, well what can I say about programming? In the past four months I’ve learned that you can spend a crap load of time staring at a screen, you don’t accomplish much.. Things are going good, the hardest part of programming is opening the compiler, once its open watch-out!
P.S – Spell Check rocks! (and no more read-more links!)

Don’t rip my head off, all of the following is imo.
Why does everyone request a custom CMS? I have yet to see one project that truly required a custom CMS being written from the ground up. 99% of projects do not require a custom CMS yet everyone requests one. They spend hours thinking about how awesome the management system is going to be but spend very little time thinking about attracting a user base, and of course they want said custom CMS to be free.
Majority of the time the requests come from people who have no discernible design or coding experience, all they have is an idea/concept. They go on about how much time they have put into there idea/concept. Really? You put 10 hours into your idea but you have not bothered to notice that Wordpress can handle every single function you have just requested custom code for?
I mean I have no problem if your going to pay for it; waste your money as you wish. However, if your not planning on paying people you should try to go out of your way and attempting to use a stock CMS (ever here of modding). Under no circumstance can you expect anyone to spend 10-20 hours building a decent system for free (not to mention future upgrades & security patches).
I do understand that some, very few projects, do require a custom management system, since what is needed does not exist. If your someone who wants to make a gaming ladder here’s a tip for you – gaming ladder scripts are already created! Oh, but I see those scripts cost upwards of $100.00 why bother when you can find some PHP monkey to do it for you for in exchange for a staff position in your non-existent community.
Here’s another little fun fact, if your going to start and you do not want to purchase a CMS/Script stop now. You will fail. Sorry but its true. Expenses arise constantly and if you don’t want to spend money upfront your as good as toast later on.
So please take a look at drupal, wordpress, webspell, and though it pains me to recommend it joomla.
Save everyone some time, consider a custom skin instead of a custom CMS. And hell if your OCD runs as high as mine re-skin the log-in page.
Of course there are always exceptions to this, so don’t be upset if I hurt your “feelings”.

Hmmm… There’s not much to say. I’ve added a new page it consists of that’s actually almost nearly done. There’s not much on it now except for the 7-11 map which will undoubtedly be the coolest map I’ve ever created. I just can’t wait for the entire city to be done (hopefully by next may).
And I have to do something about “The Blogs/Sites I Read” section in the sidebar. It’s totally stretching out the page and my OCD is starting to kick in. I guess I’ll have to make more posts to make the page longer. xD
And why the hell does Wordpress not have a smiley for xD! WTF!
I guess that’s all I have to say for now, I’ll post something more interesting tomorrow. I promise.

WooHooo! It’s my first post on my brand new blog.
I’m not going to even really consider this thing a blog rather I’ll think of it as the place I put things so I don’t forget them. I run my entire management system out of here now (there are a lot of features I have access to that you don’t). Every day I become more and more dependent on this site yet I don’t have much to say. Continue reading teh post if you would like to know what to expect here @ irnoob.
Well I have a couple of odd quarks that almost always come up in my writing, especially if I’m writing informally. I’ll provide you with a neatly organized list of what you should expect:
- Expect lots of smilies. I love smilies.. Sometimes when you talk to me I’m just thinking of giant smilies.
- Expect nerdiness. I love speaking geek, expect it, don’t be afraid to ask questions.
- Expect typo’s and grammatical errors. It’s a blog not an essay. Don’t point out my blatant typos. Please.
- Expect long thought out rants. I have a lot of things going on in my mind at once….
- Expect subpar web design, but better level design. xD
- Expect comma splices. If my English teacher ever see’s this… I love using comma splices. They separate things in such an amazingly, awesome way!
What not to expect (Yes its still neatly organized
):
- TyPinG LyK THiS DaWG. <– If you do this I will come to your house and smash your keyboard to bits. You are not l33t.
- OMFG I KNO HOW TO TXT <– What’s the point of writing out a blog post if you don’t take a proper amount of time doing it?
- I forgot number three.
- Ummmmm….. Crappy pop ups and advertisements.
I guess thats all I have to say for my first post. The sites still crappy but I’ll put it together in the coming weeks as I continue to post. On a side note, if you know me in real life and ever notice that thing I do when your talking where I’m staring off in to the distance completely ignoring you just know that I am writing this blog in my brain… Yes, it does go on 24/7 in there.
BTW if your into all that graphic, level-design crap check out my blogroll in the sidebar. There’s some great stuff in there.
